Last fall, a handful of our class decided they wanted to participate in a creative maker style project hosted by Raspberry Pi. What is Raspberry Pi?
Well here is what they have to say about it:
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a UK-based charity that works to put the power of digital making into the hands of people all over the world, so they are capable of understanding and shaping our increasingly digital world, able to solve the problems that matter to them, and equipped for the jobs of the future.
The goal of the project they hosted was to develop a tool or device that would help people during a cataclysm.
Emergency pizza is not a pizza that you eat when you’re hungry; it is a secret kit that you would use if you are in emergency. The reason it is called Emergency pizza is because on the inside it is a life saving kit, but on the outside it is a normal pizza box. You can call for help on the built in phone. You can track people down you just need a some of its DNA, the pizza can all so track down food. It can hold proto types. It has a built in camera.
The spider is a tiny robot that helps finding food, tracking, entertain, and more. The Spyder can use silk. The Spyder has a sack for food, and a fan to fly on the bottom. The Spyder eats any type of food. The Spyder can all so carry food in case you are starving it can give you food. It is made out of steal and is all so water proof. It can all so entertain or distract people in case you are on a secret mission. It can all so fly, track, and spy in any condition.
